Where to Find Library Services and Collections
during the Construction of the Legacy Library

Locations
- Most (but not all) Library services can be found in Mills Hall.
- Mills Hall 5th Floor is primarily the "Circulation
floor." It houses the Circulation Desk, the active collections of
materials that can be checked out, including items located in CIRCULATING
COLLECTION, OVERSIZE, FOLIO, JUVENILE, DVDS/VIDEOS, MEDIA CD'S,
as well as NEW BOOKS. This floor also includes the Inter-Library
Loan (ILL) and OhioLink Office, as well as the administrative office
for the Library Director.
- Mills Hall 4th Floor is primarily the "Reference
floor." It houses the Reference Desk, the Reference workstation
computer lab, the IT Help Desk, the REFERENCE Collection, Current
Periodicals, and Current Newspapers.
- Mills Hall 3rd Floor includes offices for the
Library's technical services department, including serials check-in
and cataloging.
- Thomas Hall 302 is the location for the Library's
Special Collections Reading Room. Materials available there include
manuscripts, photographs, college archives, etc.
- The Library Annex houses most of the library's
print collections, including the general circulating books collection
as well as the bound periodicals. It is not accessible to the public,
but all materials there can be requested for use. Requested materials
are typically available for pick-up at the Circulation Desk on Mills
Hall 5th floor at noon on the following business day.
- Study space is available on both the 4th and
5th floors of Mills Hall.

Collections
- The location (collection) for any item can be identified when viewing
the record in M.C. CAT. Look for the "Location" field in the box to
the left of the Call Number in the record display.
- All of the active collections, CIRCULATING COLLECTION,
OVERSIZE, FOLIO, JUVENILE, DVDS/VIDEOS, MEDIA CD'S, and
NEW BOOKS, are located on Mills Hall 5th floor.
- All collections labeled "REMOTE ..." are located
in the Library Annex and can be requested for pick-up on campus.
Just click the "Request Remote" button at the top of the record
display.
- The REFERENCE Collection is located on Mills
Hall 4th floor.
- Materials labeled THOMAS-SPC and THOMAS-STM
can be accessed in Thomas Hall, Room 302. These materials cannot
be checked out or requested.
- All collections labeled "UNAVAILABLE ..." were
packed for storage off-campus during the construction period and
cannot be requested. These materials were in Special Collections
and required a special storage facility. Most items in Special Collections
are not available including the Stimson and Rare Book collections.
