The Funding Information Network

Marietta College Library is a part of the Foundation Center's Funding Information Network. The Foundation Center is the nation’s largest clearinghouse for grant related information. Through a core collection of resources provided by the Foundation Center, Marietta College Library, in conjunction with the Marietta Community Foundation, offers free access to information and services to assist individuals and nonprofit organizations in finding sources for funding and grant seeking.

How can this collection help grant seekers?

  • Can access electronic and print resources about grant seeking
  • Explore topics related to philanthropy, fundraising, and nonprofits
  • Find information about foundations that could be sources of funding for nonprofit organizations
  • Gather information on how individuals can get grants and funding
  • Match your interests to potential funding sources

What can you find in the collection?

Grant material in both print and electronic format can be found in the collection in the Legacy Library on the Marietta College campus. We receive a core collection from the Foundation Center and the library also collects information about grants and nonprofits on its own. Here is a local resource listing of the core Foundation Center collection and a selected list of other grant seeking resources.

Will the library sponsor any training about grant seeking?

The library alone or in cooperation with the Foundation Center will periodically offer training sessions that introduce specific resources or cover topics related to grant seeking.

Where is the collection located?

Grants related material can be found in the Legacy Library on the Marietta College campus. The electronic resources can be accessed at the public workstations in Legacy Library. As part of our agreement with the Foundation Center, the electronic resources can only be accessed at computers in the library. Library staff are available to assist users without prior appointment.
