Unveils MC's First Valedictory Speech, April 28, 2010
- Restored manuscripts of MC's very first valedictory address from
1838, along with portraits of the members of the first graduating
class and other memorabilia of the college's first commencement, are
on display in the Legacy Library's lobby through graduation. Please
come by and take a look at these fascinating documents.

- Legacy Library adds Late Night Hours during Finals, April
22, 2010
- Starting Saturday, April 24, the Legacy Library will begin extending
hours for final exams. Monday-Wednesday the library will be open until
1:00 a.m.
- Legacy Library to Begin Opening at 7:30 am, April 5, 2010
- Effective Monday, April 5, the Legacy Library will begin opening
for access by users at 7:30 a.m. on weekdays. Closing times and weekend
hours will be unchanged.
Basic library services will be available, such as access to general
collections, computer access and printing, and essential circulation
functions, such as item checkout. Reference service will not be available
until 8 a.m.
- Legacy Library Homecoming Open House, October 17, 2009
- Legacy Library will be hosting an Open House Saturday, October 17,
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. in celebration of Homecoming. Please join us for
light refreshments and a self-guided tour of the new facility.

Library Special Collections Acquisitions, July 31, 2009
- The Marietta College Library announces recent acquisitions of interesting
and important special collections. Included are: Cornelius E. Dickinson
Materials, a large collection of materials of an early minister of
the First Congregational Church of Marietta and additions to the Samuel
Hildreth collection and other early documents of the Marietta area.

Introduces New ILL Request Form, July 15, 2009
- The Library has implemented a new Inter-Library Loan request form
on its web site. One difference from the previous form is that you
log in using your email username and password, rather than your name
and library barcode.
- Legacy Library Summer Hours Change, June 22, 2009
- Effective Monday, July 6, 2009, the Legacy Library's Summer Hours
will be set as follows:
- Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
- Saturday-Sunday, Closed.
The Legacy Library also will be closed on Friday, July 3, for the
Independence Day holiday.
