Conventional Reserves

Books and media items are added to a conventional reserve check-out system when it is not appropriate to digitize the item for the E-reserve system. Both library-owned and instructor-owned materials may be placed on conventional reserves. Circulation of these items is restricted to shorter duration loan periods in order to provide access to the materials by members of the class. The instructor can choose from several loan types:

  • 3 hours, no overnight circulation
  • 3 hours, with overnight circulation
  • 1 day circulation
  • 3 days circulation
  • 7 days circulation

Students are charged fines for overdue reserve materials.

Please note that the library is not permitted to put items owned by other OhioLink libraries on reserve.
