Visitor Access

The Legacy Library is accessible to community patrons and non-campus individuals on an appointment basis only.  To schedule a visit, please use our Appointment Request Form

Please note that a mask is required for all users of the Library.  Masks are available if you do not have one.  If you have any symptoms of a possible virus infection, do not come to the Library.  Please check in at the Circulation Desk upon arrival.  Upon entry to the Legacy Library building, all visitors will be screened with a touchless thermometer and a brief series of questions about symptoms and exposure to the COVID-19 virus. 

Library Services

The Legacy Library building is open to campus users with reduced seating and single-direction doors and stairs.  Masks are required for entry to the building.  We have masks available if you do not have one.  Non-campus individuals and other visitors may use the library on an appointment basis only (See Visitor Access below).
 
The Library's electronic resources (research databases, full-text journals, and E-books) remain available from off-campus locations as they always have been.  For instructions on remote authentication, please see our Off Campus Access FAQ.
 
If you have any need for research assistance, there are several options available.  In addition to visiting the Reference Desk on the main floor of the Library, you may contact the Research Help Desk by phone at 740-376-4543, by email at library@marietta.edu, and by messaging using Microsoft Teams at library@marietta.edu.  We can also use Zoom to work with you directly on screen.  Please message us using one of the contact points above to set up a Zoom consultation.  
 
Books and other items checked out from the Library during the Spring semester are now due.  Please return them to the Circulation Desk as soon as practical.  If you have any questions please contact the Circulation Desk at 740-376-4757 or circulat@marietta.edu.
 
OhioLINK book lending resumed on August 10th.  You may now request items for delivery to the Library's Circulation Desk for pick up.  Due to a need to quarantine materials upon delivery, there will be some delay before OhioLINK materials are available for pick-up.
