Personal Use

Digital collections presented on the web site of Marietta College's Legacy Library are available for personal, non-commercial, and educational use. Individuals, schools, and libraries may, without requesting permission, download or print images and files in the Legacy Library's digital collections for non-profit purposes that fall under the fair use guidelines defined in Title 17 of the United States copyright law. In all cases, please provide a citation to the Legacy Library web site in any use of these images.

Publication Permission

Publication of these images and files (including in both non-profit or for-profit publications, as well as all web sites), requires the submission of a completed One-Time Use Agreement and the payment of any applicable fees. Fees are intended to offset a small part of the College's costs associated with processing, preserving, and servicing its collections. It is the responsibility of the requestor to obtain, prior to publication, any required copyright permissions from the copyright holder for any items in these collections.

Copyright

Items contained in the digital collections of Legacy Library are in the public domain or are copyrighted by Marietta College, unless otherwise identified. Nonetheless, it is difficult or impossible in some cases to determine the copyright status of all items in historical collections. If you believe that you are the copyright owner of an item in these collections, please contact us at speccoll@marietta.edu or 740-376-4545.
