The Special Collections Internship offers Marietta College students of opportunity to acquire paid experience working with manuscripts, photographs, and rare books. The intern will focus on a specific archival project that is compatible with his/her skills ad interests and with the needs of Special Collections. The intern will also be introduced to a variety of routine archival functions and responsibilities, such as collection organization, reference assistance, preservation, and outreach. The internship should be completed in one semester with 50 hours of employment.
Depending upon the specific archival project assigned, the intern, Supervised by the Special Collections Librarian, will perform the following tasks:
